The Harmonic Cosmonauts

Blending rock, funk, jazz, metal, a dash of reggae and the blues, The Harmonic Cosmonauts are a jam band poised to storm the scene.  One of Vancouver’s hidden gems, the lads have remained committed to music -and each other - through years of exploration and discovery.  It’s rare for a band to stay together as long as they have, and the obvious chemistry shines especially bright when they tear into an ‘off the cuff’ jam.

 

For the group, a highlight of the past summer was playing a guerrilla jam at the lantern festival at Trout Lake. Setting up with 15 watt battery powered amps, they let the energy of their music fly into the night. A rapt, grooving, genuinely appreciative crowd of upwards of a hundred people gathered and cheered on the band, then wailed out boos at the park official that requested the music get shut down.  The Harmonic Cosmonauts are stoked to let more jams loose into the ether at a venue near you.
